The free outdoor shows are open to the public. To attend those, an RSVP is required for admission unless you have a Premium badge. You can simply flash that at the gate for admission.

Premium Badge will grant you access to every music show, panel, comedy show and event taking place during the festival on a first-come, first-served basis. WHERE DO I GET MY TICKET OR PASSES?

To buy your pass or tickets, you must purchase them from a link here on our site. In very rare cases tickets may be sold at the door. Because all tickets and entry are first come first served basis, you must be sure to show up on time if you have already purchased a ticket or a pass for any of the events. Be careful of buying fake passes or tickets that are not affiliated with the festival

WHY IS MY TICKET/PASS ADMISSION FIRST COME FIRST SERVED?

The number of reserved spots for badges is relative to the size of the venue, so the number allowed into each event varies. We realize how much it sucks to spend money and be turned away at the door, but it’s important to realize that admission is not guaranteed. So if there’s a music show or screening or panel that you really, really want to see, we recommend either getting there early or buying an individual ticket. But even if you don’t do these things, you’ll be able to see lots of great shows, and talks armed with nothing more than your badge/wristband. For the most part, venues do honor a one-in, one-out policy, meaning if a badge-holder leaves at any point during a show and there’s another badge-holder waiting to get inside, they’ll be able to enter at that time.

As a landmark of Harlem, The Apollo theater has been estimated to have seen over 1.3 million visitors yearly. Since 1918, Harlem has been the center stage for African cultural movement accompanied with cycles of economic booms. Harlem is known for its renaissance, rooted with social, intellectual and artistic expressions of African Americans. Known for the high population of African American migration in the early 1900s. Harlem has birthed some of the major historical African American artistry America has yet seen. Jazz music, Blues, Pop, Bebop and many other musical genres and stars call Harlem home.
